Asbestos Awareness
(Category A)

½ Day Training Course

This course is designed for professionals in the construction industry and maintenance trades. It will provide essential knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with asbestos exposure, the different types of asbestos, and where delegates are likely to encounter it in the workplace. This is an awareness course only and does not train delegates to work with asbestos containing materials.

Since November 2006, the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 have mandated that employers must provide appropriate training for all workers who might be exposed to asbestos, including those supervising such workers. It is crucial for anyone involved in modifications to buildings constructed before 2000 to receive proper asbestos awareness training. Even small tasks like drilling and sanding can release asbestos fibres. This training ensures that the correct precautions are taken, reducing the risk of exposure and meeting legal requirements to protect yourself and your workforce.
